whom even Siva - wearer (dhara) of SEsha – blessed (vara) serpent (ahi) (varAhi), indra – Lord (rAja) of celestials (dEva), brahmA – abiding (bhava) in Lotus (jalaja) and demons (rAkashasa) etc (Adulu) (rAkshasAdulu) beseech (kOru) for boons (varAlu)!
O Mother worshipped (arcita) by best of (vara) (varArcita) ascetics (muni)! Why don’t (rAdA) You protect (brOva) me (nanu)?
O Mother parA Sakti! Why don’t You take care of me? Why this unconcern towards me?

indra – chief (adhipa) of thirty-three (tri-daSa) Gods - and others (Adulu) (tri-daSAdhipAdulu), having become eternal (SASvatulai) by happily (kuSAlugA) undertaking (jEsi) Your (nIdu) service (sEva), exultingly (paravaSAla) salute (nati sEya) You!
O Mother parA Sakti! Why don’t You take care of me? Why this unconcern towards me?

durAtmakulanu-indu rAka
sEyaga rAdA vara tyAgarAja nuta
Subhada rAma sOdari dharA dhara sutE (parA)

Won’t You (rAdA) make (sEyaga) those wicked persons (durAtmakulanu), who disregard (or disallow) (nirAkarincu) innocent people (nir-aparAdhula), not to come (rAka) here (indu) (durAtmakulanindu)?
O Excellent One (vara), praised (nuta) by this tyAgarAja, who bestows (da) auspiciousness (Subha) (Subhada)! O Sister (sOdari) of Lord SrI rAma! O Daughter (sutE) of himavAn – Mountain - bearer (dhara) of Earth (dharA)!
